DAY 1: HANOI ARRIVAL [D]
Welcome to Hanoi, Vietnams
capital. Local guide pick up and
transfer to your hotel. Rest of the
day is free to recover from your
flight. Dinner and Overnight in
Hanoi.

DAY 3: HANOI - HALONG BAY
[B/L/D]
Scenic countryside drive to the
UNESCO World Heritage Site,
Halong Bay. Upon arrival, boarding
and cruising from Hon Gai pier to
the boundaries of Halong bay.
Lunch with fresh seafood and fruits
(vegetarian and kid menus avail-
able).
After lunch, relaxing on board
while slowly getting off the classic
cruising routes, far from the usual
clichés of this busy tourism spot.
Limestone rock formations will
parade all around us for about 2
hours before stopping at Hon Co
island, where we’ll take a few steps
up to explore the Thien Canh Son
grotto. Inside the cave, stalactites
and stalagmite in various shapes
and sizes will tell you more about
geographic history of Halong bay
and surrounding area.
Late in the afternoon, the boat
cruises to its anchorage area.

DAY 2: HANOI CITY TOUR
[B/L]
Morning tour through charming
ancient city with tree lined boule-
vards, French colonial architecture,
lakes, pagodas, and temples. First
stop is the Ho Chi Minh memorial
complex in Ba Dinh Square. Ho Chi
Minh’s Mausoleum and stilt house,
One Pillar Pagoda, and the Presi-
dential Palace.
After lunch, visits to Army museum,
Hoa Lo Prison Museum, nicknamed
the “Hanoi Hilton” by the American
POW’s, Hoan Kiem Lake - “Lake of
the Restored Sword” located in the
heart of the city and Ngoc Son
Temple. You complete the day with
a fun ride on Cyclo around the
13th century, bustling Old Quarter.

DAY 4: HALONG BAY - HANOI
- DONG HOI NIGHT TRAIN
[B/L]
Coffee, tea and cakes will be
served. Wake up smoothly while
witnessing the silence of beautiful
misty bay. A 30-minute Tai Chi
session will be organized, energize
your body and soul or just allow
yourself some "dolce far niente"
time on a sunbath with a cup of
coffee. Then, we hop on bamboo
boats to go visiting a secluded
floating village surrounded by the
mountains. We trace our way
between numerous floating houses
and small rowing boats that serve
the everyday life as vehicle, iten-
erant shops, fishing utility, some-
DAY 6: HUE CITY TOUR [B/L]
Hue was Vietnam’s former imperial
capital. Start the day with a visit to
the ancient Citadel situated on the
northern bank of the Perfume
River. The Royal complex is a
world heritage site and is a
remarkable piece of architecture,
square in shape and 10km in
circumference, with 10 entrances
and 24 watch towers.
After lunch, you board a Dragon
boat for a scenic cruise on the
Perfume river to visit the Thien Mu
Pagoda and Tomb of Minh Mang,
one of the most influential emperors
of the Nguyen Dynasty. You return
to your hotel late afternoon.
Return to your hotel late in the
afternoon. Overnight Hue.

DAY 5: DONG HOI - HUE
[B/L/D]
Early arrival in Dong Hoi, guide
pick up then transfer to day use
hotel. Breakfast and take a little
rest then we start heading to Hue.
Stop at a couple of historic sites
and monuments to understand the
past history and story of Vietnam
War. Follow up Highway 1 across
the Hien Luong Bridge, and over
outside depending on weather
conditions. Overnight on board in a
cozy air-conditioned cabin with
en-suite bathroom facilities.

Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner
times overnight shelter.
Brunch will be served while cruis-
ing back to pier . Take a last glance
at the rocks, standing still as the
eternal guardians of a kingdom.
Disembark from the cruise, you’ll
have a private transfer to Hanoi.
Check in dayuse hotel until time
transfer to train station for an
overnight train to Dong Hoi prov-
ince.

the Ben Hai River which demarcat-
ed North and South Vietnam, this
area saw some of the heaviest
fighting during the war. Doc Mieu
Firebase, which lies just north of
here, played a pivotal role in the
South's defence and for a while,
this was the command post for
calling in airstrikes along the Ho
Chi Minh Trail.
This central part of Vietnam expe-
rienced violent battles during the
Vietnam War and many bomb
craters are still visible today. It is
also a very poor region with severe
weather conditions caused by
typhoons and dryness. Arriving in
Hue. Enjoy a warm and cozy dinner
at Hue local garden restaurant.

DAY 7: HUE - HOI AN [B/L]
This morning you farewell Hue and
drive south to the former 17th
century trading port of Hoi An,
crossing the stunning Hai Van
Mountain Pass on the way. Lunch
is at Lang Co Beach and on arrival
in Danang, you visit Red Beach, the
landing beach of the American
Marines in 1965 and the Marble
Mountains and stone carving
village. A lift has recently been
installed to take you to the top of
the mountain, for the fittest there
are steps to the top.
A short distance away is the town-
ship of Hoi An, which retains the
feel of centuries past. After book-
ing into your hotel and freshening
up you are taken on a walking tour
that includes the Japanese Covered
bridge, the Old Quarter, the majes-
tic Assembly Hall, Ancient trading
houses, the local market and
numerous quality tailor shops.

DAY 8: HOI AN - MY SON [B, L]
This morning you drive south west
to the world heritage site My Son,
located in Quang Nam Province.
The ruins are a cluster of Hindu
temples constructed between the
4th to the 13th centuries by the
Kings of Champa. On your return to
Hoi An, your time is free to revisit
the tailor shops, relax around the
hotel pool or continue your sight-
seeing. Overnight Hoi An.

DAY 9: HOI AN FREE DAY
TOUR [B]
Today, a whole free day to discover
Hoi An by your own. Overnight in
Hoian.

DAY 10: HOI AN - DANANG -
SAIGON [B/L/D]
Transfer from Hoi An to Danang
Airport for your flight South to
Saigon. Saigon is the commercial
and industrial hub of Vietnam and
has grown significantly since the
war.
After checking into your central
hotel, you are taken on a city tour
that includes the Post Office, Notre
Dame Cathedral, built by the
French in 1877, former Presidential
Palace and the War Remnants
Museum.
In late afternoon, there is no better
way to explore Saigon than from
the back of a scooter? Even if
you’re not familiar with riding on a
two-wheel machine, this journey
will charm you and surely remain
as a highlight of your trip in Viet-
nam. Sit behind your driver, relax
and watch the city passing by. This
tour will take you on wide avenues
and narrow lanes for an alternative
DAY 11: SAIGON - CU CHI
TUNNELS [B/L]
This morning you travel through
the countryside to Cu Chi and the
former underground VC village of
Ben Dinh. Built by local fighters, the
tunnel system includes fighting
bunkers, hospitals, schools, meeting
rooms, kitchens, and sleeping quar-
ters.
After watching a propaganda video
documentary, you trek along the
bombed cratered landscape to a
small hidden tunnel opening, those
sightseeing of Saigon. Get ready
for the must-see landmarks while
also getting off the crowded tourist
trail for a peek at the history, the
streets and the sights that most
visitors never even hear about or
see. The tour starts at 18:00 and
ends at your hotel around 21:00.
You will stay overnight in Saigon.

DAY 12: SAIGON - MEKONG
DELTA [B/L]
Following breakfast, guide pick up
and transfer to Ben Tre, a peaceful
Mekong delta town known for
coconut jungles and rice paddies.
The tour starts with a visit to a
brick kiln, where bricks are still
painstakingly made by hand. Then,
go through the zigzag canals to
visit a local coconut product work-
shop with fresh coconut candy and
other products for daily life. The
boat then stops at a quiet village
DAY 13: NUI DAT - LONG TAN
- SAIGON [B/L/D]
After breakfast, we head to Ba Ria,
and a local orphanage. You then
make your way to the former 1st
Australian Task Force Base at Nui
Dat. Again, little remains of the
base, you visit the school at the
end of what was once Luscombe
airstrip and the remnants of SAS
hill. After a picnic lunch in the
rubber plantation, you attend the
moving ceremonial service at Long
Tan holy cross to commemorate
those Australian soldiers who
fought the war. Head for Vung Tau
City for lunch with seafood in local
dishes. Then you will have short
city tour around the beach vacation
destination built by the French
colonists. The city is also a center
of religious sites. Back to Saigon in
the afternoon for a farewell cruise
dinner. Overnight Saigon.

the opening and climb into the
tunnel. Further on you come across
the ingenious booby traps and the
widened tunnel system. Lunch at
local restaurant with Cu Chi spe-
cialty beef food. Overnight in

manual work by the village ladies
is amazing. You are welcome to
have a try for a real feeling of how
work is done here. From the facto-
ry, you will have a bike ride to go
sightseeing village life, stop at a
local restaurant for lunch.
After lunch, hop onto a tuktuk for a
fun ride through the village and
coconut jungles to Mr. Khanh’s
house, a passionate antiques
collector and his house is jam
packed full of fascinating artefacts
from Vietnam and else here in Asia.
Back to Saigon at around 17:00
then free time to explore Saigon
by night. Overnight in Saigon.

ends and you will be free until
time transfer to the airport for your
onward flights.
