College Production – Time Warp
The Southern Cross College production, Time Warp – A musical journey through time, will be
presented from the 19th to the 21st of October at 18:30 for 19:00. The Wednesday and Thursday
shows are theatre style seating whilst the Friday show will have Barnyard style seating; remember to
bring your own picnic basket for the Barnyard style show. Please note there is no reserved seating
for any performances. Tickets are R 50.00 per adult and R 30.00 per child and are available from the
school’s front office.
Shuttle
Please note that an error was made on the most recent calendar that was sent out. There will be NO
SHUTTLE at the end of the 4th term or at the beginning of the 1st term 2012. We do apologize
for any inconvenience caused.
College Raffle
Each College learner was issued with a raffle sheet prior to the holidays. The winner will the entitled
to two night’s complimentary accommodation for two people sharing including breakfast at the Happy
Valley Hotel, Ezulwini, Swaziland. The draw will take place during assembly on Friday, 14 October.
Learners are reminded to collect outstanding money and raffle sheets and return them no later than
Thursday, 13 October 2011.
College Awards Evening
The Annual College Awards Evening is scheduled to take place on Friday 14 October at 18:30 in the
Earth Circle. A wide range of College awards will be presented and the learner leaders for 2012 will
be announced. This event is compulsory for all College learners and they are reminded to wear their
formal uniform to the event. We would like to also encourage Prep School parents and learners to
attend the event. In particular, we would strongly encourage our Grade 6 and 7 learners and parents
to attend. If Prep School learners do join us at the ceremony they will be required to wear their
school uniform. We look forward to seeing you all on Friday evening.
Grade 12 Farewell Function

2. On Saturday evening we will be celebrating the school career of our Grade 12 Class of 2011. The
event will take place in the Earth Circle and will be for invited guests only. We are expecting our
Grade 11 Committee to present a very special first Grade 12 Farewell Function for Southern Cross
Schools.
The Organic Earth Market
The next Organic Earth Market is scheduled to take place on the 30th of October 2011 from 10h00
to 13h00. A stall will cost R 50.00. Two chairs and a table will be supplied by the Market. Access to
electrical power will cost an additional R 25.00. All proposed goods must be organic and/or home-
made and must be submitted to the Market Committee for approval. If you would like to have a stall
