This project involved renovating and adding onto a single family home in Kings Point, NY. The architect arrived during the construction administration phase to oversee production of custom details and coordinate with contractors and decorators. A key part of the project was gaining approval from the local architecture committee for a modern, steel-framed tennis court that was not a standard design. The document includes photos of custom interior and exterior details produced for the project.

Hirschfeld Residence was a renovation/addition with an emphasis on custom details.
I arrived as the project manager during the construction administration phase where
the shell of the house had been completed. I worked rigorously with my contractor
on producing built work as well filed all the necessary drawings with the building de-
partment. I worked extensively with the decorator producing millwork details such as
the Second Floor Landing Bench and Powder Room Vanity. Along with coordinated
lighting fixtures within particular spaces. The project required many approvals for
filing but the major one was our firm’s tennis court proposal which required a pre-
sentation to Kings Point’s Architecture Review Committee since it is a contemporary
modern design and not a standard chain link fence. It was ultimately embraced by
