Mario has a normal morning routine until he finds a letter revealing his mother has cancer. As Mario deals with this news, his grades drop and he argues with his mother. After several weeks, Mario learns chemotherapy is working for his mother and his grades improve as he receives a university offer. However, as Mario goes to share the good news, he is tragically hit by a car and killed.
