ComForcare Dementia Care Program
ComForcare proudly announces the launch of DementiaWiseTM,
a new home care
program designed to enhance the lives of those living with dementia, as well provide
support and education for their family caregivers. DementiaWise employs cutting-edge,
evidence-based behavioral interventions to help clients with dementia optimize their
abilities and enhance their quality of life.
This customized, proprietary program offers extensive dementia care training to all
ComForcare team members. This ensures everyone employs the most effective and
advanced dementia care techniques.
The DementiaWise program focuses on our clients’ remaining abilities, rather than what
they have lost due to the illness. The program was designed to serve clients at all stages
of their illness, through the end of life, allowing individuals to age in place at home,
where they are most comfortable and content.
Our Staff
Training our staff in dementia care has become a top priority as ComForcare prepares to meet the needs of
the growing senior population and those suffering from dementia-related diseases. Before working with clients
with dementia, our caregivers are thoroughly briefed on the client’s needs and preferences and receive client
specific training.
Services We Offer
Through our DementiaWise services, we provide customized, direct in-home care services designed to make
your loved one’s days better while decreasing challenging dementia behaviors. We encourage and support our
clients independence whenever possible; allowing them to do what they still can manage. This results in less
difficult behavior and acceptance of care.
