Travel Experiences
Prior, during and post college, I have always valued the opportunity to travel.
The experience of and the exposure to other places offers an appreciation that
can not be learned in the classroom. I have been to Ireland, Holland, most of
California, New York, and Chicago during my college education as well as on my
own dime. I coordinated some of my travel to coincide with the topics of study
while in college. It was a great opportunity to see first hand what was being
discussed in the respective courses. The level of understanding that was achieved
can not be portrayed through imagery and lecture.
Testimonials
“Stephanie is the kind of student that is an asset in a design course. She set the bar for other
students in the way she applied herself. She continues to become more enthusiastic about
design and her work continues to be exciting, intellectual and thorough.”

“...Stephanie is diligent and thoughtful, and she consistantly produces high quality work.
She has been working professionally in interior design while attending the university.
Successfully balancing work and school already proves that she is organized with excellent
time management. Compared to her peers, she showed a better understanding of material
selection, code compliance, and detailing. Stephanie’s work is creative, but she also knows
and appreciates the “nuts and bolts” of the profession. Stephanie is a good team member-
reliable and helpful. She provided thoughtful and valuable feedback to her peers when they
needed assistance. She was one of the distinguished students in her graduating class based
on her overall academic performance, quality of work and admiration from other students and
faculty. Stephanie is a passionate designer and a strong leader...”
