Well it’s that time of year again! It started off fairly quietly, but picked up well. I have put in a few
pictures of jobs completed this year, which is just a small
selection. Some of you will have seen others in the earlier
newsletters. We have since finished a large job in Highgate,
which included a dressing room, study, family TV room and a
hallway. The picture on the left is the study and made using
IKEA cabinets but with the addition of bespoke components and
lighting it looks and works as a purpose made piece of joinery.
This approach is sometimes a very good way of achieving a bespoke room and it suits some budgets
and some situations. I do my best to give my clients the best solution whatever the project!
The second picture is a drawing of a job which comes up in the New Year. Four dressing rooms in a Mill
Hill house – looking forward to that!
This last picture is a reception desk made for a
commercial client for a property in Clerkenwell. Made in
Grey stained Birds Eye Maple veneer, with a top made in
re-cycled glass from Glasseco Ltd. The lights give a pool
of light under the round cabinet which has a curved door
on the inside.
There are lots of smaller jobs which are just about to
start, a nice Walnut extending table, a jewellery cabinet
and another display case. I have a new order for a large
stair case for a house in Mayfair and I am hopeful that
we can do much of the specialist cabinet-making for that
project. I also have another house in Highgate which is
new to the scene.
So it looks like next year will be busy. I am now looking
forward to a bit of a break over the festive period
knowing that I have a run of work to go into.
I will take this opportunity to wish you all a happy
Christmas and have a great new year.
