They are not replacements - rather complimentary.
Social media is vast and difficult to explain to complete novices but
Much talk of demographics but perhaps not as different as you might think.
This is public data and not doctors though. Docs early adopters of clinical technology. Late adopters of social media learning.
Since the internet is full of cats there are easy guides to understanding what it’s all about.

Role of the educator is then not to teach from on high, rather it is to help learners organise, sift and appraise their knowledge.
