Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated with much fanfare at Shiksha Niketan school. A glimpse of the life of the noted poet D.R Bendre was enacted on stage by the students and a medley of his lyrical poems was sung, followed by a dance based on 'Vachanas'.

The socially relevant message of the triumph of good over evil was depicted by the students of grade 8 in a small enactment of the Myth of Narakasura. This was followed by songs and a dance on the occasion of Deepavali in Shiksha Niketan school, NLO.

The ambience was filled with patriotism fervour with patriotic songs in different languages, a talk show on the great Martyr 2nd Lieutenant ArunKhetarpal, a posthumousrecipient of ParamVir Chakra for the Indo - Pak war of 1971; highlighting Brigadier Naser of Pakistan, the killer of 2nd Lt Arun confessing to the 2nd Lt Arun's father M L Khetarpal meanwhile paying his tribute to his great opponent, the program came to an end with a mind-blowing dance on the importance of saving every drop of water.
