2. Neferu Atón Nefertiti
(1370 B.C. – 1330 B.C.)
was the first great royal
wife of Akhenaton.
Her name means, “the
beauty has arrived”.
Her reign is so distinctive
because Egyptians represented
their familiar and private
scenes.
3. Her father was Ay, but,
probably, her mother
died early.
Ay was married with Tey,
they were parents of
Mutnedymet, halfsister
of Nefertiti.
Akhenaton and Nefertiti
had 6 daughters:
Meritatón (1348 B.C.)
Meketatón (1347 B.C.)
Anjesenpaatón (1346 B.C.)
Neferneferuatón-Thaserit (1344 B.C.)
Neferneferura (1341 B.C.)
Setepenra (1339 B.C.)
4. In the 14th year of the
reign of Akhenaton,
the Egyptians stopped
writing about Nefertiti.
After some years,
Akhenaton died and
was succeeded by
Tutankamón.
5. We don´t know anything
about her death and no one
found her mummy.
Some years ago, an
archaeologist discovered the
supposed Nefertiti´s
mummy.
Then, another archaeologist
discovered that this mummy
wasn´t Nefertiti.
