research, planning

2. Research
 YouTube was used mostly for my research as I looked into existing
music videos, on YouTube is where I found all of the music videos
which I watched several time and then went off and reviewed
and analysed them.
 Last FM and Spotify were both helpful when it came to researching
into music. As once I decided upon indie rock as my chosen
genre both sites opened up the genre to me, with the vast
library offered I found many new artist and
track that I had previously unheard of. This helped me get a
better understanding and a wider view of the genre.

3. Planning
 I used Facebook messenger regularly during the planning stage as
this allowed me and my actors to hold conversations over my
filming schedule. Another advantage of this Facebook
messenger is that you are able to hold conversations with
multiple people at the same time meaning I was able to send
out a message that they could both see and everyone in the
group can see all of the responses.

 blogger was used during the entire process of my project as this is
work all of my work was posted I used it as a dairy to document
the progress of my work. As I had to do this for last years project I
had gain knowledge and experience on how to properly use
blogger.


4. Construction
 I used Photoshop for all of the image editing for my ancillaries texts. firstly I made my magazine advert
which I applied many effects to as this added depth to the image making it look more appealing
and attractive. I chose to use some affects were used to enhance visuals such as altering the
lighting and contrast whereas other tools served a purpose like applying a drop shadow to the text
to make it visible. All of the text was sourced from Dafont.com as this has a huge selection of font
allowing me to browse through and choose the perfect font for my ancillary's.

I used a Nikon DSLR to film the footage of my video I had previous experience with this camera as I
used this to film my AS project and so I had become familiar with the camera and found it much
easier to use the second time around. The camera shoots in HD and produces real high quality
footage.
The software I used to edit my videos was Sony Vegas, I had also used this for my AS Media project
last year and so I had a much better understanding of the software this year compared to the last. I
was able to use the programme much more efficiently as well I new most of the tools and functions
available on the programme.
 Blogger was also another programme I used throughout the process of my project from start to finish. I
once again had the past experience of this programme as for last years project we had to blog the
entire process from as early as the preliminary tasks up until the evaluation, we are told to blog as
often as possible as this helps to show our progress during the course.


5. Evaluation
 For the evaluation stage of the project Blogger was once again
used with all of my progress and evaluation question being
posted to the site, Although I did not construct my evaluation
question in blogger. I used alternative website to present my
question in different formats such as Prezi and slide share.
 I used Prezi to present one of my evaluation question as it offered
an alternative way of displaying my posts. Prezi is an online site
were you can create presentations. One of the reason I decided
to you Prezi is because of its professional look and sleek the
designs you are able to create. It also allows for a lot of creativity
through the use of images, videos and transitions.

