Sashi is a qualified Trademark, Patent, Industrial design and
Copyright agent with the Malaysian Intellectual Property
Organisation (MyIPO) an agency of KPDNKK. He graduated
as B. Eng (Hons) Electrical & Electronics from Northumbria
University, United Kingdom. Sashi has gained more than ten
(10) years of experience including patent drafting experience
for universities, research organisations and companies from
various industries such as Panasonic, Daikin, and MIMOS.
Sashi started his carrier as a Design Engineer in Intel Corp
(Penang), developing for next generation layout for FPGA,
CPLD & using latest CMOS technology. In addition, he was
involved in the IC Design Innovation Development Team,
where he was exposed to inventions that leads to a patentable
patent.
Sashi’s interest in the Intellectual Property field has lead him
to join as a Patent Engineer with one of the leading IP firms in
Malaysia, Patrick Mirandah & Co (Mirandah Law), where he
gained extensive experience in the preparation, drafting and prosecution of patent applications in the
field of computer programs or software, electrical & electronics, mechanical, machinery, construction
and so forth. Here, he was also involved in national and multijurisdictional patent litigation services
include representation in matters involving infringement, invalidity, freedom to operate (FTO), state-
of-the-art search and so forth.
Sashi was able to work & liaise with Intellectual Property Agents in Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, China,
Arab, Papua New Guinea, Thailand, Philippines, India & United States as well as foreign affiliates such
as Interdigital, Nokia, P&G, General Electric Company, Thomson Licensing, Qualcomm, Bayer,
Finnegan, Fish & Richardson, Fitzpatrick, Ropes & Gray, Nakamura, Sugimura, SKIP, SATO, Jones
Day, Burns, Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton and so forth.
Then, Sashi stretched his career by accepting a role as a Manager in a well know IP firms in Malaysia,
Pintas IP Group, where with his extensive experience in the preparation, drafting and prosecution of
patent applications has lead the department through managing and assigning task for junior and senior
executives in Patent Department, as well as conducting training for new and old employees. Sashi also
developed the ability to draft patent applications by judicious writing in-concert with Inventors and/or
Applicants expectation. Sashi also appointed as consultant for online based Intellectual Property firm
subsidiary PINTAS IP, known as IPHALL.
Sashi’s knowledge and experience in Trademark, Patent, Industrial design and Copyright has enabled
him to pass the examination held by the Malaysian Intellectual Property Organisation (MyIPO) to be a
authorized Trademark, Patent, Industrial design and Copyright agent in Malaysia.
In addition, Sashi was also appointed as a patent consultant for GIP Asian (subsidiary of GIP Japan-
PINTAS IP) to review and provide feedback on patent application drafts prepared by junior and senior
executives as well as attending to client needs.
Throughout this endeavour, Sashi attained well-developed public speaking skills from conducting
several training and seminars on Intellectual Property Awareness and IP-Clinics for Local Universities
such as UTM, UM, UITM, local & Foreign companies as well organization and association such as
Invention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition (ITEX), CTFA Malaysia. His proven strong customer
service skills has lead him to become the go-to expert on providing consultation for Trademark, Patent,
Industrial design and Copyright for many clients.
