5. Getting The Job
Before I had got the job, I had mentioned to a friend that I
was looking for a job because my parents wanted me too.
Living in Savona I had limited choices, either the gas
station or the restaurant. My friend works at the gas station
and her aunt is the boss. She recommended to the boss that
she hire me and phoned me asking if I wanted the job. I had
not made a resume but she told me that she didn’t need
one. I started training the following week.
6. Team Work
I have learned to work in teams. My job is simple but also
very demanding. If one of us needs help with cleaning or
stocking something we don’t hesitate. Outside maintenance
is also a team job. If we are doing outside tasks such as,
sweeping the pad, it gets done way faster if we work
together. I am normally a pretty independent person so this
job has definitely helped me build teamwork skills.
