DT Kennesaw Pitch
The city of Kennesaw continues with its largest development, as several smaller projects
are picking up speed over the excitement of what is going to become of the downtown area.
The Revival on Main is already leasing a handful of the 250 luxury apartments that began
construction earlier this year. Right below, plans are being drafted as to which businesses will be
moving in to the 12,000 square feet available for commercial space.
With the addition of new living space, eagerness has been building around other projects
outside of the Revival, including a new barbecue restaurant and a sports bar just off Cherokee
Street opening in December.
Original structures are being repurposed for entertainment in order to attract locals.
Buildings such as the church are being revived to serve as hubs for live music. Mayor Mark
Mathews says with the completion of the projects, they hope to see more families and KSU
students involved with the community.
The Livable Center Initiative has been a huge supporter of the Revival. Plans to turn
Depot Park into a green multiuse park along with creating a more fluid road system in down
town Kennesaw will hopefully increase foot traffic. Mayor Mathews assures everything that’s
being done is made with the community in mind.
