Leaves Dropping / Private Lives

a found poem based on the conversations between the poet and her lover

an older woman fell on a fallen fence
she laboured under misapprehensions

with her body language
secretly whispered to me

“because I am old
not even half a decade old
and I adjust as I go
and make no bodily contact
I will try to be
as polite as possible”

like reading old letters and
saying goodbye to the Renaissance
I have a fundamental satisfaction:

                                                                         “do I help you?
it will have to be for a „bit‟
most people are very affectively dull
but I guess you counterbalance that”

does the letter killeth
orgiveth life?

tongueincheekly
she was so riled up
,
“I just ate an orange
it's actually the MOON!
oh darling earth moon prayer candle
you can't know my special pain
you can see the object of your
discursive desires
on the other side
through the eyes of early cultures (it‟s a bit shit)
you CAN SEE THROUGH IT

               her
humour
was
weird

“I have strange instincts
I gotta leave like a banana tree
or I would just fall over and die”
nothing,
disruption, escape:
it was nothing urgent so

if a thing is ordinary it becomes unnecessary to disclose

         “me too”
