1. EFF JOBURG CALLS FOR THE IMMEDIATE DISMISSAL OF THE DELINQUENT MMC LOYISO MASUKU.
EFF in Johannesburg calls for the immediate dismissal of the delinquent MMC of Corporate and
Shared Services Loyiso Masuku.
This call flows from the pending criminal entanglement between the Masuku Syndicate (Loyiso and
her husband- Gauteng MEC of Health Bandile Masuku) and the Diko Syndicate (Presidential
Spokesperson Khusela Diko and her husband Inkosi Madzikane II Thandisizwe Diko) which has
resulted in amongst many misconducts- a shady PPE deal amounting to R125 Million.
Sequential to the PPE deal, EFF in Joburg has now established that Inkosi Thansisizwe Diko was
appointed through the Governance Unit of the City which directly reports to MMC Masuku to the
Independent Audit Committee of the Joburg Market's Board.
This vindicates our long held position that the entities boards have been stuffed with chronically
under qualified criminal transactors.
EFF has also noted with disgust the continuous interference of Loyiso Masuku's to the procurement
and recruitment processes of the City. This is in our view a gross violation of MFMA and the
Municipal Systems Act.
Furthermore we have leant of the the Masuku's cash purchase of a R9 million mansion and R1.7
Million spending spree on furniture where Loyiso demanded that the shop be closed for the whole
day for her to choose items without any other customers allowed in- this cash spree warrants an
immidiate lifestyle audit against the Masuku Syndicate.
We have also established that Inkosi Diko has moved in with the Masuku's.
Flowing from these facts, it our view that the Mayor should swiftly fire the corrupt member of the
criminal Masuku syndicate from MayCo with immediate effect and without consideration of the
intra party factional consequences.
