How Will You Make History?

Name_________________________________________________

“I like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past.”- Thomas Jefferson

As we study individuals famous and not as famous, who changed history for better and for worse we may ask….Why do we
study history anyway? To develop an intelligent citizenry? To understand our nation’s past and present? To appreciate
the lives and sacrifices of our ancestors? TO LOOK SMART PLAYING JEOPARDY? We study history for all these reasons,
and also importantly, to inspire us to make the world a better place.

“The main thing is to make history, not to write it.” – Otto Von Bismarck

Essential Question: How will you make history?

regards to those issues?
