Orientation typically includes information on
employee benefits, HR policies, the daily
routine, company operations, safety
regulations, as well as a tour of the company.
Successful orientation outcomes:
- New employee should feel welcome.
- Understand the company policies.
- Should know what is expected in work and
behavior undertakings.

Uninformed about organizational objectives,
specific duties and responsibilities, organizational
and community traditions and taboos, and personal
and position standards.
People change with behavior when they become
members of groups.
Lack of supervisory induction skills, inappropriate of
first assignment, absence of feedback regarding
early performance.
