employee benefits, HR policies, the daily
  routine, company operations, safety
regulations, as well as a tour of the company.
 Successful orientation outcomes:

  - New employee should feel welcome.
  - Understand the company policies.
  - Should know what is expected in work and
    behavior undertakings.

                                                   3

 To facilitate adjustment of new personnel
to work environment in which they render
 service to the system.
 To provide information not fully covered
 during recruitment and selection process.

                                              8
Knowledge From Induction Process
 Turnover occurs primarily during early period
 of employment.
 Turnover creates hostility and resistance
within the system if the authority make
replacement of positions through a force of
 change.
 The ‘change’ process affects group stability
 and relationships.

                                              9
Contd..
Poor induction had caused anxiety,
 discouragement, defensive behavior.
 Security, belonging, esteem, and information
problems can be minimized during induction
 period.
 Frustrations developed when newly
 appointed personnel were inconsistent
between realities of organizational life later
 on.

                                              10
