Letter of Commitment for a Frontline Worksite Supervisor
Having completed the IMS/5 Competent Frontline Worksite Supervisor course, I have
demonstrated my competence as a Frontline Worksite Supervisor and I give my
commitment through my signature below to continue to demonstrate that
competence at my work site.
I understand that there are procedures, standards and rules to be followed for each
job. If I do not know them, I will find out.
I understand that I have the power to stop any job that is unsafe.
In my toolbox talks, I will discuss what can go wrong during a job and what my team
will put in place to stop it going wrong. I will make sure that my team understands
the HIP, other jobs going on around them and what to do in an emergency. My team
will wear the required PPE and correctly use the right tools for a task. Housekeeping
will be part of each job in order to keep my workplace clean; tidy and free of
obstruction. I will ensure that my team is committed to the environment and we will
reduce and correctly separate and dispose of waste.
By signing this Letter of Commitment, I accept my responsibility as a competent
Frontline Worksite Supervisor to comply with the rules, standards and procedures,
intervene and stop unsafe acts and demonstrate the right attitude that safety is my
top priority and respect my workers.
As a leader, I will demonstrate and empower my team to demonstrate that safety
comes first on all jobs at all worksites.
