How Article Marketing Can Help You Build Your List

You can build your list simply by writing product related articles, whether you have thought of it
or not. By utilizing article directories you will be getting your product or website links out into
the web. By getting links out there more people will see the potential of your content and click
through to your squeeze page, creating another sign up on your list.  If you need to add more
people to your emailing list then you will find out how article marketing can help you.




 

Quite simply, you will write and submit your articles on your topic or niche of expertise or
business nature to popular article directories where ezine publishers and readers are looking for
the information you provide. There are a lot of other websites and blogs on the internet that need
extra content and your article could potentially get chosen as their new content. When your
articles get chosen, you will get your links out there even more. When people surfing the internet
come upon your articles, they will find the information they need and if they want more they will
click on your links. If you are offering them something of interest or need, they will potentially
buy it. By doing this you are gaining you another address in your email list and another sale.




 

Leveraging your viral marketing efforts on article writing can be rewarding, if done right. You
need to make sure you do some keyword research for your article topic and use good search
engine optimization techniques to give your article a better chance of being seen. Make sure your
content is original and something you have written yourself. Make it interesting and easy to read
and follow. Give enough information to keep them captivated but just shy of satisfaction to lead
them to click on your links. In the real sense, you are actually proving your worth and
demonstrating your expertise about your business through the articles you write.

 

So, how can this method in effect build your mailing list? The short answer: the resource box you
attach to your articles. In your resource box or also called bio box, you include a brief detail about
yourself and your business site together with its URL. I suggest adding a call to action in the
beginning of your bio box with your links in it, then going on to give a small snippet on who you
are and what you offer. I find it better to add this call to action in the beginning because usually
people aren’t too interested in who you are and reading a bio can somewhat be boring. So come
up with a great call to action and you should be in the clear.




 

The best practice would be to use your landing page url as your links in your resource box. This
way you will get their email address on your list and more potential future customers. This will
help you build your mailing list more. Even though it is time consuming to create articles then
submit them to article directories, article marketing is still one of the best ways to get your links
and information out. It may be somewhat slow in the beginning to see big results, but in the long
run your articles will bring you tons of new potential customers. Once your article is accepted and
published, it will be there forever.
