A transportation professional in Burr Ridge, Illinois, Robert Rogulic serves as the president and chief executive officer of trucking company Tri-National Inc., which operates 12 service centers in five states. A hunting enthusiast, Robert Rogulic holds a record with the Boone & Crockett Club for shooting the largest antelope. Founded by Theodore Roosevelt more than 110 years ago, the Boone & Crockett Club works to preserve hunting access and conserve land. Recently, the club announced the development of a long-term anti-poaching campaign called Poach & Pay. Cooperating with state wildlife agencies and local governments, the campaign will advocate for improved detection and conviction of illegal hunters, as well as appropriate fines that accurately reflect the value of wildlife. Poach & Pay received initial funding through the Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Outdoor Fund, and will focus on public outreach to engage the hunting community, as well as research and the development of legislative templates to be used by state agencies. The program continues to seek ongoing funding from sponsors in the outdoor and hunting industries.
