o The first blizzard to be declared a Federal
emergency was in 1977 in New York and
southern Ohio.
o Some of the most notable blizzards happed in
1888, 1978, 1993, and 1996.

o Have a disaster plan and prepare a disaster
supplies kit for your home and car.
