Steven Roberts of St. Louis delivered the first lecture of Lincoln University's Presidential Lecture Series on February 19, 2020. In his speech, Roberts discussed the contradictions that still exist regarding Black History in America, such as being told to pursue the American Dream but also being silenced. He also examined how dreams can be found and forged in unlikely places, and how black history is a story of both fulfilled and deferred dreams, as well as explosions of civil disobedience and unrest.
