This document summarizes the French fundraising market in 2012. It notes that while the overall market was over 3.7 billion euros, growth was slowing and consolidation was occurring. Some organizations saw mixed results after years of constant growth. The document outlines key issues for 2012 like the economic crisis and political elections, and provides examples of campaigns from organizations in sectors like homelessness prevention, disabilities, health, and international relief. It concludes with a cautious outlook on fundraising, with budgets expected to remain flat while organizations take a "wait and see" approach.

14. What about fundraising
• A « wait and see » attitude :
budgets and objectifs remain
the sames as 2011…
In France, giving has always shown a good resistance to
crisis… Giving is just after physiological needs in Maslow’s
pyramid for elderly donors… Furthermore, it appears to be
a kind of talisman against fate (« if I give and help,
someone may do so if I ever need it » or « I give to protect
myself and relatives from this disease »…)
