Email to Ticket Conversion
Configuring Freshdesk to work with your Support Emails
Where is the Email Settings page?




                 Everything
              you need is under
               Admin > Email
                  Settings
If you don’t have your own
   Support email address

                                 Freshdesk will
                                provide you one




               Your users can send an email to
                   this address and it will
               automatically be converted as a
                           ticket
If you already have a
support email address

                  You must enter it
              here and forward a copy of
                support emails to this
                 forwarding address




                 Freshdesk will use your
               support email address as the
              “From address” when replying
                        to tickets
If you have multiple
Support email addresses
                                                No
                                      Problem! Just add each
                                   email address and make sure
                                    you forward these emails to
                                      the correct forwarding
                                             address




      You can also choose to
automatically assign these tickets to         Freshdesk will use the
  the appropriate support group.             correct “From address”
                                             when replying to tickets.
That’s it. You’re Done!


                  No messing around
                   with your email
                       servers

                   You don’t have to
                  worry about SMTP,
                    POP, IMAP port
                     numbers etc.

                 Just configure a simple
                  forwarding rule and
                     you are all set!

  • 1. Email to Ticket Conversion Configuring Freshdesk to work with your Support Emails
  • 2. Where is the Email Settings page? Everything you need is under Admin > Email Settings
  • 3. If you don’t have your own Support email address Freshdesk will provide you one Your users can send an email to this address and it will automatically be converted as a ticket
