•A business leader, Randall Fincke established and currently
leads Advent Medical Products, a designer of state-of-the-art
medical devices including defibrillators.
While serving in a previous position as vice president of
research and development with Zoll Medical and working with
Dr. Zoll directly, he helped design three generations of
monitor-defibrillation products.

•Throughout his career, Randall Fincke has received United
States Food and Drug Administration approvals in bringing
innovative medical technologies to market.
For patients in need of safe arrhythmia monitoring and
automatic intervention in the event of a cardiac emergency,
studies have shown a wearable defibrillator appears to provide
protection.

•According to information from the WEARIT-II Registry, a
national database of patients who have been prescribed a
wearable defibrillator, those who used the medical device kept
it on for all but three hours each day over an average of 81
days.
During that period, about one-quarter of patients received the
proper electrical shock needed to treat sustained ventricular
tachyarrhythmic events, while the remainder of patients
purposely deactivated the device’s shock response.

•Over the years early interventions and quick responses often
can make a significant difference in outcomes that in many
cases have saved thousands of lives when appropriate
deployment of defibrillators are used in emergencies.
