2. DESIGN, FABRICATION AND EXPERIMENTATION OF A MULTIFUEL 2008-2009
BIO-MASS GASIFIER
Developed a cross-draft Bio-mass gasifier based on design from Asian Institute of
Technology, modification was done accordingly. As gasification largely depends
on the type and condition of the fuel, it is hard to achieve the perfect gasification.
We have tried to test the gasifier a number of times by using various fuels as well
as using varying parameters to ensure proper gasification, but the producer gas
coming out of the gasifier is not continuous enough to enable us to take any
reading to measure the efficiency of the gasifier. The project work carried out by
us is partially successful.
