Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, known as the Patriarchs, are the physical and spiritual ancestors of Judaism. The Torah contains the 613 commands that Jews must follow, including not believing that Jesus was the messiah and that Israel is their promised land as stated in the Torah. Important rites of passage include bar and bat mitzvahs, where children take on the 613 commands, and circumcision, where boys are welcomed into the religion at 8 days old. The Western Wall is a holy site as it is remnants of the original Jewish temple.
