chosen Industry.

Take an organization with which you are familiar and identify its Core
Competences (Distinctive Capabilities). Compare the organization with its
competitors and comment on the strategy implications.

How would you rate human resources in relation to the successful overall
development of strategy?

What is an organization's value chain? How does it feature in relation to an
organization's competitive advantage?

What do you think is a manager's role in linking resources and capabilities to
strategy and competitive advantage?

Briefly describe the key components of the strategic management process.
What do you think is the relationship between strategy formulation and
strategy implementation?

What constitutes the external context of strategy? How do you think
globalization impacts upon this external context?

What does the resource and capabilities based perspective of strategy
indicate to us about developing International strategy in very dynamic
business environments? What sorts of things do you think management
needs to consider in such circumstances?
