This document discusses gaps in cancer care delivery in central India and proposes establishing a comprehensive cancer care center. It notes that cancer cells can reproduce rapidly, growing from one million to one billion cells in as little as 6 weeks. There are key barriers to timely diagnosis and treatment of cancer as well as a lack of adequate radiation therapy infrastructure and oncologists, especially outside of major metro areas. A comprehensive cancer care center could help address these issues and improve access to high quality cancer treatment.
