1. SUPPORT INCREASED STATE HIGHWAY FUNDING
We, the undersigned, believe that we are underinvesting in our state highway system and
we urge the 82nd Legislature to move forward;
We urge the leadership and the members of the Legislature to take the following steps:
1. Complete the pledge made to voters in 2007 by authorizing for construction the
final $2 billion in general obligation bonds for the highway program;
2. Continue the positive steps taken last session by reducing the diversions from the
highway fund;
3. Establish other methods to pay highway fund debt rather than with future
highway revenues.
