L’Infinito come
quantità e indefinito
come qualità,
indeterminato

Tutte le cose sono o principio o dal principio: e dell’infinito non c’è
principio, perché avrebbe un limite. Poi, come principio, è ingenerato e
imperituro: ciò che è generato deve avere una fine, e la fine è propria di
ogni dissolvimento
Perciò, noi diciamo, di esso non può esserci principio, ma esso sembra
essere principio delle altre cose, e abbracciarle tutte e tutte reggerle […]
E l’infinito appare come il divino, perchè è immortale e indistruttibile
