I’m sorry about yesterday
And how I didn’t show

Today was not my day
If I did something to prevent this
Would things still have gone wrong
Life’s not a fairytale story
Where everyone bursts out in song
Some things can’t be prevented
Because nothing can be the same
Life not just one or another
A win or lose game
And I have lost
I’m sorry to say
Though you still take my breath away
And I have lost
So be it that way
Because there will be no other day
And that’s the end of my story
My sonnet of doom
Because even love at its best
Can forced the wanted into gloom
And so ends my fairytale
So yes it is true
We no longer fit together
No more just me and you
