DAY 1 Arrive Edinburgh
Welcome to Edinburgh and the start of your
highland trail to discover more about the
Outlander series and its characters. This
evening, meet your companions and Travel
Director at o Welcome Reception.

DAY 2 Edinburgh Sightseeing
Today enjoy the main sights with o Local
Specialist including o visit to Edinburgh
Castle, followed by o special Outlander
walking tour. During free time perhaps
explore the Royal Mile and pop into The
World’s End.

DAY 3 Outlander Excursion to the
Kingdom of Fife
Visit Blackness Castle-filming location for
Fort William in Season 1. Travel through Fife,
setting for many of the Outlander filming
locations. Visit the village of Falkland where
Claire’s story begins. Stop at the Covenanter
Hotel which was Mrs Baird’s BB. Finish the
day with o visit to Culross, location for the
fictional village of Cronesmuir. See Claire’s
herb garden and Geillis Duncan’s home in
the beautifully preserved 16th century town
center.

DAY 4 Edinburgh → St. Andrews
→ Dundee
Travel to St. Andrews the home of golf and
Scotland’s oldest university. Loter arrive in
the city of Dundee for on overnight stay and
see the Toy Roil Bridge and RRS Discovery,
Robert Falcon Scott’s Antarctic exploration
vessel.

DAY 5 Dundee → Castle Fraser
→ Inverness
Today visit Castle Fraser. Explore the gardens
and enjoy panoramic views from the round
tower. Arrive later in Highlands capitol,
Inverness.

DAY 6 Inverness → Culloden
→ Thurso
This morning visit the poignant site of the
Bottle of Culloden, the event in Outlander
which forces Claire and Jamie to soy their
goodbyes. Loter consider o cruise along Loch
Ness before making your way to the most
northerly town in mainland Scotland, Thurso.
Enjoy dinner tonight at your hotel.

DAY 7 Orkney Islands Excursion
At John O'Groots, take the ferry to the
Orkney Island, home to the legend of the
mythological creature the Scottish Selkie.
Stop in Skora Brae and walk through the
remains of this famous Neolithic village. See
the prehistoric Ring of Brodgar en route to
visit Viking Kirkwall before crossing the sea
back to the mainland. Dine tonight at your
hotel.

DAY 8 Thurso → Ullapool
→ Isle of Skye
Visit the quaint fishing town of Ullapool.
Travel through lochs and glens and stop to
view Eilean Donan Castle. Dine tonight at

DAY 9 Isle of Skye → Balluchulish
Leave the picturesque Isle of Skye on a
ferry to Mallaig. Travel to Fort William via
the impressive Glenfinnan Viaduct. At Fort
William see Ben Nevis. Arrive in Ballachulish
for a two night stay.

DAY 10 Highland Folk Musuem
Excursion
Travel back in time with a visit to the
Highland Folk Museum, a film location
in Season l. Enjoy a Cultural Insight into
Highland rural culture since the l 8th century.

DAY 11 Ballachulish → Glencoe
→ Doune Castle → Stirling Castle
→ Bannockburn → Glasgow
Visit Daune Castle, the film location for
Castle Leach in the TV series. It was here
that Claire was hosted by the Mackenzie Clan
when she arrived in Scotland in 1743. Visit
Stirling Castle which is a symbol of Scottish
national pride. View the site of the Battle of
Bannockburn before arriving in Glasgow.

DAY 12 Glasgow Orientation
→ Linlithgow Palace Excursion
This afternoon your orientation of Glasgow
includes the magnificent St. Mungo's
Cathedral. This morning travel to Linlithgow
Palace, stand in for the prison entrance and
corridors of Wentworth Prison where Jamie
was imprisoned in season l. Later experience
a memorable Farewell Lunch on a working
Scottish form.

DAY 13 Depart Glasgow
Say a fond farewell to bonnie Scotland as
