8. I enjoyed creating this product because it allowed me to think deep on my beliefs and experiences as a
teacher in a visual way. I have learned that using Sideshare is efficient and easy as it is portable with
PowerPoint.It has opened a new way for me to facilitate students to reach their full potential and be
independent life long learners to the future society globally via understanding different cultures.
One way to adapt into my Chinese teaching is to provide pictures via slideshare to educate the culture
and the characters. For example, I can teach students about the lantern festival on the mid of 8th
month of Chinese calendar using pictures of lantern and mooncakes. While telling them the myths, a
lantern parade by children and other usage of lantern and displaying traditional and contemporay
mooncakes.
