The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development,9
Recalling ECOSOC Resolution of 2008/18 which “reaffirms that each country has the primary10
responsibility for its own economic and social development… and underlines the importance of11
adopting effective measures, including financial mechanisms to support underdeveloped12
countries…” and their effort to achieve sustained economic growth, sustainable development, and13
eradication of poverty,14
Recognizing the Resolution 67/294 of 15 September 2013 on the United Nation new Partnership for15
Africa’s development: progress in implementation and international support; and the resolution16
67/202 of 21 December 2012 on the UN Entrepreneurship for development,17
Keeping in mind the United Nation conference on sustainable development and its outcome18
document, entitled “The future we want”, which encompasses the Heads of State and Government19
and high-level representatives, acknowledging the need to further mainstream sustainable20
development at all levels, integrating economic, social and environmental aspects and recognizing21
their inter linkages, so as to achieve sustainable development in all its dimensions,22
Keeping in mind the eight Millennium Development Goal to develop a global partnership for23
development,24
Taking note of the 2005 World Summit Outcome, we reaffirm our faith in the United Nations and25
our commitment to the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations and26
international law, which are indispensable foundations of a more peaceful, prosperous and just27
world, and reiterate our determination to foster strict respect for them,28
1. Designates the responsibility of raising funds from developed nations and redistributing29
them to lesser developed nations to international organizations such as UNICEF, and UNDP30
that will:31
a. promote small business economies,32
b. indorse education in rural and urban cities across Developing nations,33
c. provide health care and medical facilities to Developing populations;34
35
2. Advises the distribution in-kind aid in the form of training local people to become doctors,36
teachers, sustainable farmers, construction workers and social entrepreneurs, funded by37
organizations such as the IMF, the World Bank;38
3. Requests world financial organizations such as the IMF and World Bank to support merging39
countries in their economic endeavours by reducing taxes on these countries and making40
funds more accessible through international regulation on where funds come from and41
where exactly they are redistributed;42
4. Encourages social entrepreneurship and small, local business to provide services to the local43
populations in order to develop solutions to local problems (taking into consideration that44
aid and service is not a universal mould);45
5. Promotes the creation on sustainable energy plants and the use of nuclear energy that will be46
beneficial to countries in the long run, which can be supported by the IAEA;47
6. Requests specific guidelines and contracts with developed nations who wish to do trade with48
developing nations in order to prevent exploitation or breach of sovereignty, and giving non-49
partisan NGOs the responsibility of negotiating between these parties;50
7. Promotes the creation of regional NGOs that regulate the flow of trade and oversee51
monetary equity across borders to prevent fraudulent distribution of funds and promote fair52
flow of trade;53
8. Hopes that this model can serve as a stencil that can eventually be implemented across the54
world, seeing that:55
a. multiple nations that are not in Africa agree with this resolution after seeing the success56
and improvements needed within Africa and;57
9. Exhorts the global community to leave protectionism measures in order to increase the58
international exchange, promoting global partnership and triangular trade.59
