1. Tan solo una palabra
Mateo 8:5-10 “5Entrando Jesús en Capernaum, vino a él un centurión,
rogándole, 6y diciendo: Señor, mi criado está postrado en casa, paralítico,
gravemente atormentado. 7Y Jesús le dijo: Yo iré y le sanaré. 8Respondió el
centurión y dijo: Señor, no soy digno de que entres bajo mi techo;
solamente di la palabra, y mi criado sanará. 9Porque también yo soy
hombre bajo autoridad, y tengo bajo mis órdenes soldados; y digo a éste:
Ve, y va; y al otro: Ven, y viene; y a mi siervo: Haz esto, y lo hace. 10Al oírlo
Jesús, se maravilló, y dijo a los que le seguían: De cierto os digo, que ni
aun en Israel he hallado tanta fe.”
Este centurión al igual que cualquiera de nosotros que podamos estar en
esta noche de oración, estaba atravesando por una adversidad. Y lo que
realmente sorprendió a Jesús, más allá de lo que dijo, fue la determinación
que había en su corazón para conseguir que de la boca de Dios surja tan
solo una palabra para él. Su fe no se basó en esperar ver una respuesta
palpable o física, su fe fue más allá, su fe fue al campo espiritual.
Muchos cristianos pierden su tiempo muchas veces ante cada situación
difícil en su vida, porque lo único que atinan a hacer es: quejarse, buscar la
solución en sus fuerzas, desesperarse, afanarse, deprimirse, y en el peor
de los casos quieren tirar la toalla.
No hay gloria de Dios si procedemos de esta manera hermanos, no hay
gloria de Dios si nos quejamos o deprimidos…la gloria de Dios está
cuando buscamos decididamente lo que buscó el centurión, tan solo una
palabra que salga del trono de la gracia para alcanzar misericordia y el
oportuno socorro.
Tú no necesitas ver ya la solución o la respuesta a tus peticiones o
situaciones difíciles, tu lo que necesitas en esta noche es una palabra, lo
que necesitarás mañana para vencer será una palabra, lo que necesitaste
ayer para salir de la prueba (acuérdate) fue una palabra que saliera del
trono de Dios, como una orden divina, como un decreto desde los cielos a
tu favor.

Y Jesús le dijo: Yo iré y le sanaré. 8Respondió el centurión y dijo: Señor,

2. criado sanará. 9Porque también yo soy hombre bajo autoridad, y tengo bajo
mis órdenes soldados; y digo a éste: Ve, y va; y al otro: Ven, y viene; y a
mi siervo: Haz esto, y lo hace.
El centurión, debido a su oficio, sabía cómo se manejaba este asunto de
la autoridad, pero por encima de eso estaba su fe al reconocer que Jesús
se encontraba en ese momento bajo la autoridad de Dios y que tenía el
poder para dar una solución determinante y definitiva a su problema.
Jesús le dijo a este hombre que iría personalmente a sanar a su siervo,
pero este se negó, porque se vio asimismo indigno de que el maestro
entrara en su casa. Estimados hermanos, este hombre era realmente
indigno, pero nosotros, hemos sido dignificados por la muerte y la
sangre del cordero y tenemos libre entrada al trono de Dios, no hay nada
que impida nuestro acceso para poder alcanzar gracia y misericordia, favor
y ayuda oportuna.
Dice además El Señor que frente a toda prueba, el nos da conjuntamente
la salida, y esa salida viene por medio de una palabra, una palabra
específica, una palabra que está predestinada desde la eternidad para ti,
porque desde siempre Dios supo sobre aquella situación por la cual ibas a
estar atravesando en la actualidad y el mismo ha preparado una respuesta
para que su gloria sea manifestada por medio de tu vida.
Todos los hombres de Dios que se encuentran en la Biblia entendieron
esto, lo buscaron y lo recibieron. Y fue tan solo una apalabra lo que los
ayudó a: soportar la prueba, a saber esperar, a reconocer los tiempos, a
tumbar gigantes, a derrotar ejércitos, a pelear la buena batalla.
¿Que estabas esperando hasta ahora de parte de Dios? ¿Una respuesta
física a tus problemas? ¿Un milagro financiero? ¿Fortaleza? ¿Fe?
¿Poder?...déjame decirte que todo eso viene de parte de Dios, pero viene
exclusivamente por medio de una Palabra.

4. SAY THE WORD
Matthew 8:5-10

When Jesus returned to Capernaum, a Roman officer[b] came
and pleaded with him, 6 “Lord, my young servant[c] lies in bed,
paralyzed and in terrible pain.”

Jesus said, “I will come and heal him.”
8
But the officer said, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come
into my home. Just say the word from where you are, and my
servant will be healed. 9 I know this because I am under the
authority of my superior officers, and I have authority over my
soldiers. I only need to say, ‘Go,’ and they go, or ‘Come,’ and they
come. And if I say to my slaves, ‘Do this,’ they do it.”

When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to those
who were following him, he said, “I tell you the truth, I haven’t
seen faith like this in all Israel! 11 And I tell you this, that many
Gentiles will come from all over the world—from east and west—
and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at the feast in the
Kingdom of Heaven. 12 But many Israelites—those for whom the
Kingdom was prepared—will be thrown into outer darkness,
where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Then Jesus said to the Roman officer, “Go back home.
Because you believed, it has happened.” And the young servant
was healed that same hour.
The Centurion just like any of us here at tonight’s prayer night, was going
through something. Going through an adversity.
What truly surprised Jesus, even more than what the ceturion said:
Jesus saw the determination in his heart.
Jesus saw the Centurion’s determination.= ; position, a character of
beforehand determine,
Centurion made a decision to be responsible about what he was doing &

5. allowing himself to think.
ELABORATE: BIRD
Elaborate: Verse 7: Jesus said: "I will come and heal him.
When we come to Jesus - Looks into and ==== Examines hearts –
deceiving.
Be very careful. Satan is known as the Father of Lies, the DECEIVER.
Jealousy,
backsliding, shame, Unforgiveness and bitter roots.
So what was the Centurion so determined about – was it to see Jesus heal
someone? Some great Miracle?
What surprised Jesus at the Centurion’s determination: to see a

The Centurion’s Faith wasn’t base on – well let’s wait and see what I find
when I get home. The Centurion didn’t need clarity from Jesus.
His faith went beyond, His faith went much further than his eyes Could
see.
YOU SEE, His Faith went into the spiritual Camp.
He new that if Jesus spoke it - it was done!!!! Word.
Many Christian waste their time before every difficult situation in their lives,
because the Only thing they’re able to do is:
Complain, try and find the solution in their own strength, (become
desperate – making many mistakes) Stress themselves out, get depressed
and in the worst case scenario is give up and throw in the towel.
If we continue on this way, there won’t be God’s Glory.
You'll never see God’s Glory - if we’re tide up complaining or

6. depressed......HOSPITAL
We’ll see God’s Glory when we become determined to seek the same
thing that the Centurion was searching for. He knew that if a SPOKEN
WORD came from the throne of grace, he would receive Mercy and
God’s Help. He didn’t doubt.
You don’t need to see: the answer instantly or the answer to your petitions
and difficult situation. What you need here tonight is a “spoken word”.
What you’ll need for tomorrow is "a word" that will help you overcome
in your time of need.
******Elaborate: Hospitalize: I need a word Lord. I can’t be up in here
– without a word. Now, I need you to speak to me, because with just
a word from you – and I’ll edure…….
All night – in and out of my room:
1:00 – vitals; 2:00 - blood drawn - check Diabetes; 4:00 –
medication;
6:00 – vitals. Got up

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. I WANT TO SEE
GOD!!!! Examine your heart and check your motives!!! How many

Jesus said, “I will come and heal him.”

7. The Centurion was the commander of a century in the Roman
army.
Centurion: An officer of the Roman army, a centurion
commanded a group of 80 men. And was thoroughly
experienced and a professional soldiers.
He has 80 men under him. He completely understood
AUTHORITY!
Based on his experience, he was able to manage this situation regarding
authority, and above that - IT WAS HIS FAITH – :
and realized that Jesus found himself at this very minute under the
authority of God and that he had the power to bring forth a precise and
definite answer to his own problem.
You don’t need to see the answser or the solution to your problems,
prayers, petition or difficult situations RIGHT NOW.
What you need right now is A WORD.
What you’ll need tomorrow to overcome shall be A WORD.
What you needed yesterday to go through and come out from your
trial, was A WORD.
Remember it was a word from heaven that was released from the
throne of God, like a devine order, as a decree in your favor.
Now Jesus told this man that HE - being Jesus would personally go
and heal his servant, but he said NO, because the Centurion wasn't
worthy to have Jesus enter his house.
This man - didn't deserve the honor of having Jesus enter his home,
you and I have been dignified by the death and the blood shed of the
Lamb of God and we have been given the honor of going before the
Throne of God.
There is nothing that can stop you from receiving access - so that
you can reach the Grace and the Mercy and the Favor and the

8. Almighty God.
God is before every one of you trials, God find the way out for us and that
way out is through a WORD, a specifi WORD, a WORD that has already
been predistined since enternity for you.
God already knew that situation which you were going to go through -- and
GOD himself has prepared the answer so that HIS GLORY could be
manifested in your life.
All the men of God in the bible understood this, they seek it out and they
received it.
It was just A WORD that help them to:
Stand through the trial, know how to wait, be able to recognize the times,
defeat their giants, conquer armies, and fight the good fight.
What have you been waiting on God for up to now???? A physical answer
to your problems. A Financial Miracle? Strength? Faith? Power?
We let me just tell you that all these things do come on behalf of God, but
you receive it exclusively - MEANING ONLY - THROUGH A WORD.
