1. Lemon And Chocolate Tart Recipe
This is a festive dish, excellent choice for chocolate lover. The tart is filled with lemon rings and rind. The sweet
and little sour taste makes it perfect for guest table. This healthier chocolate tart recipe can be prepared easily
& quickly. It is perfect for dinner party dessert.
PREPARATION TIME – 10 MINUTES OR MORE
PREPARATION TIME FOR FILLING - ABOUT 10 MINUTES
COOKING TIME OF BASE - 15 MINUTES
COOKING TIME OF FILLING – ABOUT 50 MINUTES
SERVE AS – 4 PERSONS
INGREDIENTS
Plane flour - 100 gm
Cocoa powder -25 gm
Unsalted butter - 50 gm
Ground almonds- 25 gm
Golden caster sugar - 50 gm
1 large egg beaten
Warm water - as required
2. Chocolate curls and white chocolate cream to decorate
INGREDIENTS FOR FILLING
Large eggs - 3
Egg yolk - 1
Golden caster sugar - 200 gm
Double cream - 150 ml
One juicy lemon (cut into very fine rings)
Grated rind & juice of 2 lemons
PROCESS
Sift the flour and cocoa powder into a food processor, add butter, almonds, sugar and eggs,
process for minutes, pour little amount of warm water if needed.
Process the mixture to form a smooth ball, flatten it, press into a 25cm loose based tart tin,
press evenly over the bottom of the tin, allow the pastry to come on the edge of the tin, press
by thumbs, cover and allow to chill for 30 minutes.
Roll the rolling pin over the tin to trim the excess pastry, prick the base by a fork, then cover
with backing parchment and back over 200 degree C or 400 degree F, about 15 minutes,
remove the paper and again back for 10 minutes, bring out from oven and let it cool.
To make the filling, whisk the eggs, egg yolk and sugar together until smooth, add the cream
and whisk again then stir with the lemon rind and juice, pour the mixture into a pastry case,
decorate with lemon rings on top, back for 50 minutes over 150 degree C/ 300 degree F.
When the tart is cooked remove the tart ring and allow to cool, decorate with chocolate curls
and white chocolate cream before serving.
Shift flour with baking powder, mix with orange sauce.
