The government is planning many digital initiatives in North East India to promote communication and development in the region. The plans aim to support digital programs, industry, civil society, education and more to improve digital inclusion as North East India grows but remains one of the most undeveloped areas. The North East Center For Technology Application & Reach will help enable these efforts as an autonomous body under the Department of Science and Technology.
