Paithalmala is the second tallest peak in Kerala located in Kannur district on the Kerala-Karnataka border. It is part of the Western Ghats and famous for trekking, with lush greenery and opportunities for wildlife photography. The monsoon and summer seasons provide good conditions for trekking to the 1,370 meter high peak, which can be accessed from Pottenplave village.
