Beginning cinema in the india[1]
1. ………………… BEGINNING CINEMA IN THE INDIA
Indian cinema has come a long way
from the primitive flashing images
with more than poor sound to the
sophisticated technology of today
both in the creation and projection.
Across more than 27.000 movies
and thousands of small
documentaries rolled in a total of 52
different languages, there has been
reflected the way of life and the
company of the complex Hindu people.
India has one of the oldest film industries worldwide. The film made its
appearance while starting the new century, a time of major political and
social reforms. The first screening took place in 1896, date which could be six
short on the cinematographer of the
Lumière hotel Watson of Mumbai. But
the first real Indian production
(projected on kinescope) was carried
out by Harishchandra Bhatva year 1899.
In 1913, the Rajah Harishchandra film
was one of the first commercial
successes. Its director Dadasaheb
Phalke was a specialist in Indian epic
items. In some films was unable to find
actresses for the female roles suffer
HOTEL WATSON rejection of all kinds of women who
refused to provide such services. As it
had that caraterizar to the young
person A. Chalunke in order that she
was playing the role of a woman.
2. By 1920 it was a more or less consolidated industry with numerous
filmmakers and companies: Dhiren Ganguly, Baburao Painter and Suchet
Singh are among the most prominent directors of the time.
The Decade of 30 marked the beginning
of a new serious but entertaining film for
the general public. It was in the early
1990s when the studio system emerged.
His initial success was the movie Devdas
(1935) of p.c. Barua, an implicit social
protest film. Prabhat Film Company
company founded in 1929 by V.G Damle,
Ngày and S. Fatehla was also successful.
Social V.Shantaram films made land for
other directors encouraged to create a
film of pseudo protest in which raised
questions about institutions such as
marriage, widowhood and caste
differences.
More explicit expression is probably
within Achhut Kanya (the untouchable,
1936) directed by Himanshu Rai, which
recounts the adventures of two young (a boy and a girl) whose outcome is
fatally tragic. The next most significant stage is connected with figures like
Raj Kapoor, Bimal Roy and Guru Dutt. The 40 years after the second world
war and Indian independence, attend a real expansion with directors such as
Chetan Anand, Uday Shanker or Sohrab Modi. The first international film
festival held in Mumbai in 1952 and had a great impact on Indian cinema. It
was Satyajit Ray and his classic Pather Panchali who opened a gap for other
filmmakers of his land thanks to its international recognition awarded in
Cannes Award for the best documentary human, who subsequently joined
other prizes inside and outside the country.
3. Rak Kapoor is the creator of
some of the most popular and
memorable Indian cinema films.
The majority of his films explore
the fissures of Indian social
classes. Bimal Roy ' s Do Bigha
Zamin (two acres of land, 1954)
shows a clear influence of the
Italian neo-realismo represented
on the difficulties of a peasant in
oppressive and unfortunate
situations. Guru Dutt in turn also
questions the social conventions
in a similar manner.
The arrival of an alternative
cinema in the 1970s changed
completely dominant until then aesthetics and themes. Undoubtedly, spin
that gave the new proposals for filmmakers Satyajit Ray film and Mrinal Sen,
who preferred to another subject to the usual musical family plot so in
fashion industry. Ray is which has greater reputation. Gjatak has been a
director of worship (six films only), but his work as director of the school of
television and cinema of Pune was very important. Hence arose the first
generation of new Indian
filmmakers. Directors then as Shyam
Benegal, Ketan Mehta or Saeed
Mirza exhibited a different aesthetic
and political sensitivity, inclined to
explore the differences of caste and
oppression suffered by women,
migration from rural to urban, the
problem of the lack of land and
other topics committed.
