1) The document presented a project proposal on developing an identification and collaboration system for Meliponine species, commonly known as stingless bees.
2) The system aims to help users identify Meliponine species through uploaded images and provide a way for experts and users to share information.
3) It involves designing identification and collaboration frameworks, developing prototypes, and evaluating the system.

4. Kelulut
• Promotes greater independence by allowing people to
perform tasks that they were formerly unable to achieve
Assistive
• Stingless bees scientifically known as Meliponine, they
do not sting but will defend by biting
Purpose
• Currently, Meliponine species has become a hot topic
in the bee industry around Malaysia.
• But the experts and bee farmers find themselves hard
to communicate frequently to share their views,
opinions and information regarding Meliponine species.
• Experts do not have effective way to spread their
knowledge about Meliponine species.
5. The project aimed to develop for both web and android platform.
It emphasizes on Meliponine Identification using the identification and
collaboration framework which helps the users to identify stingless bees and
have effective communication with other users to share their findings
regarding the Meliponine species.
This project involves 3 types users namely the administrator, expert and normal
users such as farmers, students and honey sellers.
6. Less amount of identification system that can identify Meliponine species specifically
Limited number of experts and researchers that have the knowledge regarding the
Meliponine species
The correctness of information regarding the Meliponine species is inaccurate
7. To identify the user requirements via interview
with the expert and users
To formulate the system using identification and
collaboration framework to spread knowledge
regarding Meliponine species
To evaluate the system framework from the
feedback gained of the developed prototype
To construct and develop a prototype system
from system framework
8. Conducting an interview session and reviewing
existing systems to elicit user requirements
A proposed system framework generated by
using Use Case, UML, DFD, Sequence, Class
diagrams
Construction of prototype using Java, Php, Html
,MySql, phpMyAdmin
Improve the system framework with potential
users by distributing questionnaires once the
prototype is tested
9. • To help the users to identify Meliponine species
specifically
• To spread the knowledge of Meliponine species
among the users with the correct information
• To provide the information in a simple and
understandable manner
10. Meliponine is a tribe of stingless
bee with their natural distribution
is estimated to be around 32
species throughout Malaysia by
(Shuib, 2014).
Recently, Kelulut honey known
as branded Malaysian superfood
for upcoming trend
(theSun,2016)
Users can identify the bee
species via the given
identification algorithm
It allows the users especially
young generation to locate the
location of the identified stingless
bees in Malaysia
SCOPE
11. STRATEGIES
Veg Pest ID:
Divides different
kind of insects
according the
type of crops
they feed on.
Insect Orders:
Allows the users
to search a
specific insect by
filtering the
features of the
insect
PestXpert:
Classifies
insects
according to
their own type
for example
ants, bed bugs,
beetles and
cockroaches.
Bug Count ID:
Classified insects
into groups
according to the
number of legs they
have.
Forest Insect:
Classifies the
pests according to
their own type like
beetles, true bugs,
sawflies, and
moths.
Assitive Kelulut Id:
Allows user to
search for the
Meliponine
information
according to the
species and type
of genus.
Mardi Kelulut:
Kelulut bees are
classified
according to their
species and
genus. Allows
