Physical disabilities causes the depression, loss of confidence and demotivation
Increases the dependency on family members
Mobility-assistive device like wheelchairs are very useful for disabled people
Traditional wheelchairs have some limitations
Incorporate intelligence to traditional wheelchair
Proposing system use the idea of voice activated wheelchair and home automation
4. SPEECH PROCESSING PART
Android part extract the commands from the input voice
Voice input first captured by the android app
Input voice is converted into corresponding text
Compare with previously trained words to generate control characters
Control the movement of wheelchair and the accessibility to each
home appliance
Transmitted to the controller part through HC-05 bluetooth module

7. CONCLUSION
• Raspberry pi based voice controlled wheelchair and home automation using IoT
• Alternative solution for the traditional wheelchair
• Increases the quality of life of paralyzed patients
• Voice command given to the android app
• Controls the movement of wheelchair, on-off status of home appliances
