Pik Kuong, L., NorPuteh, S. and Toran, H. (2012). Using Visual Art Activities for Creativity Development in
Early Childhood Education. NECIC, p.10.
The importance of educational curriculum in developing children who physically, emotionally, spiritually
and intellectually isenablingustobe creative and innovative. Creative thinking in children can be further
enhancedthroughthe developmentof optimumlearningwhichunderlinesthinkingskills.Teachersneed to
focus on planned teaching through creativity in children.
Unfortunately, it has been proven that teachers find it difficult to associate themselves with children in
creative thinking and this has been proven through surveys that in preschool education , we ne ed to
identifythe strengthsandweaknessof children in order implement CAA in teaching and learning through
visual arts and activity
Therefore,we have inourselvesthe giftof creative potential depending on the level applying in practice
and notremainidle, otherwise itbe ‘rusted’andgone . Thisdevelopmentmustbegininthe early stages of
a child’s life.
With the introduction on CAA, we need the art of drawing activity of creative thinking through
effortlessness, sensitivityandauthenticity where we displayoursense of sightinidentifying shape through
symmetrical comparison. This different stages enhances development in children to continuously
experience the existingknowledge invisualartsactivity.Childrenuse theirimagination on creative skills in
drawingfrom original patterntoconvertit intoamended, andimproved new pattern. They also have the
abilitytoinventnew, unique valuable ideaswhichiscalledthe peakincreative development in pre-school
ANOTHER important factor is SFFEO which is a build concept of movement, music and visual . In addition
we can integrate communication, science, technology with values and behavior.
To wrap up , teachers needto motivate , nurture in ensuring children creative domain is well put in place
with collaboration and implementation of both SEFFOE AND CAA effectively for best results.
