1.You can tell the difference between a
stereotype and a prejudice and you know
how they work in reality
2.You know how does an age
discrimination (ageism) work

Thermometer of agreeing.
Place yourself in the corner you agree with most
(0°-don’t agree, 50° – partly agree, 100° – fully agree)
1.The persons’ age, ethnic group an gender
isn’t important- I can be friends with
everybody
2.Men are good at Maths
3.All young girls like pink colour
4. Old people are always much weaker than
young people.
5.Men should earn more money than

Work in 3 groups (5 minutes)
Write at least 10 characteristics of what is this group like
(For example: Unserious, Have too much free time, etc.)
Mark 3 important ones with a star *
We’ll come back to your ideas in a second

3.Have you faced any situation when
somebodydiscriminated you because of your age
4.Have you ever notived that you have
prejudices against other ages – children/old
people.

Work in 5 groups
Put the qualities that ARE or ARE not important
for these professions.

professions?
2.Is any group discrimanated in some of the
jobs?

We all live in a city Juglio next to an ocean. There is a huge tsunami to come to our
city. The city’s council will evacuate all the inhabitants to a safe place.
Make a poster or a small play to show what difficulties your group would have.
