a police officers responsibility is enforcing the law and keeping the streets safe. mostly on the job police officers patrol
the streets going to loud parties and making sure no one is in danger. most off their calls are for domestic violence
disturbances robberies and public disputes and there are a lot of car accidents that are called in.

being a police officer your work conditions can vary from densely populated urban areas to very rural regions they need
to be ready for any situation at any time.
5. qualifications and skills
although you are not required to have any college experience it would help alot to have at least a two year degree if
you have a degree you would get a job alot faster and after college you have to go through a police training camp then
they start off as a low level patrol cop
6. job outlook
the job outlook is always good because there are so many branches of the police department you can sart of in simple
police officer and then branch off into something like s.w.a.t or the d.e.a.

a cop starts off with around 30,000 to 40,000 but if they work there way up to a detective or a higher branch they can
make upwards of 120,000.
8. uses of technology
thats all the cops use is technology all of these calls are made over radio or the computer the more serious calls are
made over the radio and the more routine calls like noise complaints are made over the radio.

this job is still appealing to me because i have always wanted tpo be a d.e.a. agent and being a policwe officer is were it
starts and you work your way up from there .
