Kindness. What is this for a person – good fortune or punishment? Or it is weakness? Or
kindness is accessible only to the elite?
Here I reflected on this question, when the idea of this film came to me.
First I was thinking that often kindness harms a person. But then, in the course of writing I have
understood that kindness is some kind of talent, that thanking to kindness people survive, as it is
impossible to live without aid of other people. Kind people are imperceptible, they create good
things not noticing that. And we use their kindness as something self-evident. From this party,
own kindness for a kind person is suffering.
And, on the other hand, when you do kind thing, it feeds you, inspires. Kindness gives energy.
And, perhaps, thanks to kindness the world still exists till now.
As an emotional component I wanted to connect suffering and humour. Thus, the film will not be
heavy. The story should be told easily, with irony, despite tragedy of existence of the
protagonist. Especially, the film comes to happy end.
Regarding the form of the film that was interesting to me – whether is it possible to shoot a
feature film not going outside a one-room apartment? It was difficult, but it seems I found the
way out..
I hope it will be an interesting film, both regarding the form and emotional side.. And I would
like this film to be universal, understandable worldwide.
