This document provides tips for becoming a more productive person by taking regular breaks to recharge. It recommends slowing down every couple hours to prevent burnout and taking 10-15 minute breaks after periods of focus to allow your brain to fully recharge. Maintaining a well-rested, fully charged brain will increase your productivity and ability to get tasks done quickly compared to an exhausted brain.
2. RECHARGE IT
• Throughout the day, slow down and take breaks to help you
stay productive.
• Your brain is like a machine; it cannot run forever.
• For example, if you keep using a machine for a long period
of time, it will get hot and will not be as productive as in the
beginning, or it might shut down.
3. DO NOT WEARYOURSELF OUT
You have to slow down and take breaks throughout the day
to prevent from wearing yourself out.
You have to force yourself to take breaks.
The only time when the brain stops working is when you
stop working.
4. STOPYOURSELF AND REST
• When your brain is busy working on a task, it will not
have the mental energy to tell you that you are tired.
• Your brain will keep on working and it does not matter
how tired it is.
• For example, you could go through the whole day without
feeling tired, but you are actually very tired.
5. AREYOU BEING PRODUCTIVE?
Even though you might think that you are being
productive throughout the day because you have done
a lot without resting, try to remember what you
actually did.
You will realize that you did not do much.
6. DO NOT FORCEYOUR BRAIN
• When you force your brain to do something that does not
have the energy for, it will never get the job done
successfully.
• For example, if you attend a class or an event that is longer
than two hours, you will start to feel tired and unfocused
after two hours.
7. 10-15 MINUTES REST
• The longer you force your brain to work after two hours,
the more unproductive you will become.
• It is important that you rest for at least 10-15 minutes
after each two hours that you work, because that is how
long your brain can stay productive.
• Your brain needs to rest in order to recharge its energy.
8. DEVELOP A PRODUCTIVE MIND
• When you come back to work after your rest, your brain is
fully charged, which means you will work at your full
capacity and work faster and better.
• For example, a productive mind can accomplish a project in
four hours compared to an unproductive mind that has to
take five to six hours to finish the same task.
9. CHARGEYOUR BRAIN
• If you have a battery that is 70% charged, it will not last
longer than another battery that is 100% charged.
• Not only does the 100% charged battery last longer, but it
will produce better result compared to the 70% charged
battery.
• And that is why it is recommended to charge your battery
to 100% before using it.
10. INCREASEYOUR ENJOYMENT
When you get great results from a productive mind.
You develop a good feeling from within you, which
will increase your enjoyment level.
11. TAKEYOUR BREAK
• Do not take your breaks for granted, and make sure that
you do take them.
• Whenever you feel tired it is important for you to rest.
• Or every hour, stand up and get away from your work area
so your brain can look at something else.
• The brain needs a rest from seeing the same thing.
