So what’s going to be big in the movies this year? We’ve got the inside scoop on the upcoming kids movie
releases – here’s the 10 Most Hotly Anticipated Kids Movies of 2015:
#1. Shaun the Sheep
Released February
From Aardman, the creators of Wallace & Gromit and Chicken Run, Shaun the Sheep The Movie arrives in
February. When the sheep Shaun decides to take the day off and have some fun, he gets a little more action than
he bargained for. A mix up with the Farmer, a caravan and a very steep hill lead them all to the Big City and it’s up
to Shaun and the flock to return everyone safely to the green grass of home.
#2. Frozen Fever
Released March
The animated short film, ‘Frozen Fever’ is set to hit theaters on March 13, 2015 and will play before Walt Disney
Pictures’ live-action ‘Cinderella’ movie.
It’s Anna’s birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa’s icy
powers may put more than just the party at risk. Disney not only confirmed that there will be a new song, but that
Olaf will in fact be making an appearance in the short.
#3. Cinderella
2. Released March
This remake of the classic Disney movie, stars Cate Blanchett as Lady Tremaine, Lily James as Cinderella and
Helena Bonham Carter as her Fairy Godmother.
From the Walt Disney press release “Although Disney’s Cinderella promises to be faithful to the original fairy tale,
the filmmakers will elevate the story, the characters and the visuals to take audiences on a sweeping dramatic
journey never seen before.”
#4. Inside Out
Released June
The latest Disney Pixar movie to hit cinemas is set inside the head of a young girl, Riley, where five emotions –
Joy, Anger, Disgust, Fear and Sadness, try to lead the girl through her life.
Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her
father starts a new job in San Francisco.
#5. Jurassic World
Released June
22 years after the events of Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar now features a dinosaur adventure park, Jurassic World, as
originally envisioned by John Hammond.
Owen (played by Chris Pratt), a member of Jurassic World’s on-site staff, conducts behavioral research on the
Velociraptors. Jurassic World’s attendance rates begin to decline and a new attraction, created to re-spark visitor
interest, backfires.
Steven Spielberg returns to produce the long-awaited film. Director Colin Trevorrow was hand-picked by
Spielberg to helm Jurassic Park IV.

#6. Minions
Released July

#7. Pan
Released July
From director Joe Wright comes “Pan,” a live-action feature presenting a wholly original adventure about the
beginnings of the beloved characters created by J.M. Barrie. Peter (Levi Miller) is a mischievous 12-year-old boy
with an irrepressible rebellious streak, but in the bleak London orphanage where he has lived his whole life those
qualities do not exactly fly.
Then one incredible night, Peter is whisked away from the orphanage and spirited off to a fantastical world of
pirates, warriors and fairies called Neverland. There, he finds amazing adventures and fights life-or-death battles
while trying to uncover the secret of his mother, who left him at the orphanage so long ago, and his rightful place
in this magical land.
