Y8 Geometry 1 Diamonds Are Forever

  1. 1. Diamonds are Forever Y8 – Geometry 1
  2. 2. James Bond is in a pickle. The world is about to end and he can only save it if he gets 3 massive diamonds, fast. Luckily he is just outside the International Museum of Expensive Gems which has 3 such diamonds. Unfortunately the diamond room is protected by motion sensors which cover almost every part of the room. James has a plan of the motion sensors and a top secret document with instructions for them.
  3. 3. 1cm = 1m Door A Door B
  4. 4. Top Secret The walls and central island are equipped with sensors with a range of 2 metres. The sensors protecting the diamonds are effective in the area between them but they are confused if somebody moves equidistant to both. The individual sensors also have a range of 2 metres and are also confused if you move equidistant to both.
  5. 5. Can you save the world by finding a route JB can take from Door A to Door B to get all 3 diamonds and leave without setting off an alarm? Door A Door B
